Visiting James Madison's house (Nov. 7)

Opa and oma are here to visit for a while, and on Sunday we went to see old friends
of theirs, Ralph and Julia Ketcham. We met them at Montpelier, James Madison's house.
I learned all about how many languages Madison spoke, and how he helped shape the
U.S. Constitution.

I also learned that it is not ideal to take pictures of people looking into the sun:

We got to go out onto the rooftop deck of Madison's house, which boasted some very nice views of the mansion's grounds and the hills in the distance.

By the end of the tour, I was quite impressed with everything Madison accomplished in his life.
