(July 26) Glass-blowing & covered bridges in Vermont

Mamma had to go to New Hampshire for her work. Two days ago we took a plane to Boston to join her and now we're going on a family vacation! Here is our car with pappa and mamma's bikes attached. Thomas and my bike is inside the car.

Today we started by visiting Quechee Gorge, which is a steep valley in which there is a small river. We hiked down to the river and climbed over the rocks.

In the distance behind us you can see the bridge over the gorge, which is very high.

Next, we went to an old wooden bridge with a roof. It looked like a house over the river! It is called a covered bridge.

Before lunch, we also visited a glass blower. We watched them make beautiful glass goblets by blowing through a pipe into glass that was so hot it glowed red!

The furnaces got energy from the river, which streamed by quite fast outside.

For lunch, we went to Sugarbush farm, where they had delicious cheese, as well as maple sugar as a treat. We ate crackers and cheese. It was delicious!

They had a cut-out painting where you could stick your head through to become part of the image. Here I am being hauled off by two cows!
